The last few weeks the Upper School IPC topic has been "Looking at the Evidence" . Our Historical Evidence has been focussed on Southampton and having found out about the blitz and D -Day (65th anniversary the day after our party). We wanted to see the end (well nearly the end) of our topic with something a bit different. We were entertained with some singing as the elderly and the young came together.
We showed off our jitterbugging talents
Many of the children made great efforts with costumes and their picnics. You could almost feel you had travelled back in time.
There was a role call of all the different characters. Here are the Evacuees. One seems a bit taller than the rest.
The finale of Mr. Hussey's rendition of last post, really created a poignant atmosphere and wass quite hard work for Mr. Hussey too.
